On April 29, Polish farmers stopped blocking the movement of trucks in front of the Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska border crossing point on the border with Ukraine. The border crossing in both directions is carried out as usual. The protesters have left the places of the strike.

According to the State Border Guard Service, trucks transporting grain crops can only transit through Poland.

The UAC expresses its gratitude to Polish associations for understanding the difficult situation and making a balanced decision in favor of joint development of the economically important sector for both countries.

We would like to thank the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for the positive result of constructive negotiations. We would also like to thank our Lithuanian partners, Viktoras Prancekis, Chairman of the Committee on Rural Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, and Kazys Starkevičius, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, for their support and comprehensive assistance in resolving the Ukrainian-Polish issue.

We emphasize the need to continue further work of the intergovernmental groups consisting of representatives of the industry and the relevant ministry and are preparing for the next meeting on May 7. We look forward to further professional dialog and coordination of efforts to work together.
