Members of the Ukrainian Agri Council met with Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. They discussed a number of key issues related to the agricultural sector.

The Minister spoke about state support for the agricultural sector, the situation with agricultural exports, electronic booking of agricultural producers and irrigation reform. MP Oleksandr Kovalchuk, who was present at the meeting, familiarized the farmers with the recently adopted draft law on agricultural receipts and discussed the issue of minimal tax burden.

The farmers emphasized the unprofitable operation of agricultural enterprises engaged in crop production during the war. They also raised problems with lending to the agricultural sector.

"In times of war, state support for the agricultural sector is extremely important. We insist on increasing the credit limits to UAH 150 million under the preferential program "5-7-9" and introducing appropriate amendments to the Government's resolution. It is also important to reduce the interest rate on loans from the current 13% to the previous 5-7%%," the UAC participants emphasized.

Increasing credit limits and lowering interest rates will help farmers secure the necessary financial resources to meet the challenges posed by the difficult economic situation and the war.

"This meeting confirms that only through open communication and mutual understanding we can find effective solutions for the agricultural sector that will contribute to its recovery and development," summarized the UAC Chairman Andrii Dykun.

The UAC thanks the farmers for their active participation, and the Minister for clear explanations, search for joint solutions and openness to suggestions. We look forward to further fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
